According to the Name "Laura" I found the following: Laura - italian, latin origin, italian Shortform for Laurentia Laurentia - femnale form for Laurentius Laurentius - "coming from the city Laurentium" laurus - latin, means "laurel", "laurelbush" or "decorated with laurel ". By the way the Name "Laura" was the last years always under the fifth most liked names for girls in Germany. It is known since 14th century in the germanspaeking area. In poetry it has been used many times as a name to disguise the unreachable or unmentioned beloved (Petrarca, Schiller, Freytag). My mother would have liked to name me Laura 27 years before I did. So Laura27 became after Lupinchen my nick in the IRC, afterwards Laura28 and so on. Later on Laura28 became also in GiMiX my nick (Laura was already selected). In the mean time my it changed more and more to the character Lady Laura and about her is this of my sides, which is only in German available. Sorry! |
seid gegrüßt Wanderer,
Lady Laura
